I was invited to Falkirk FC's Junior Bairns Day to capture video content documenting the interaction between the first team squad and young supporters. The event gave kids the chance to meet their heroes and take part in on-pitch activities alongside the players, and my job was to capture that atmosphere in a way that felt genuine rather than staged.
The finished video was shared across Falkirk's official X and Facebook channels and achieved over four times the account's average video views on X that month. It also received positive feedback directly from the club's CEO, which was a good indication that the tone and approach had landed as intended.
The project was managed independently from start to finish, covering the filming on the day through to the edit and final delivery. Working as a sole operator at a live event with no crew meant making quick decisions about where to be and what to prioritise, which comes naturally in that kind of environment.
